New York Knicks Shooting Guard Slot Up For Grabs

Justino Garcia has managed his own law firm since 1991, specializing in adoption and guardianship law. A longtime resident of New York City, Justino Garcia enjoys spending his free time following New York Knicks basketball.

New York Knicks head coach Mike Woodson recently told reporters that the starting shooting guard position would be up for grabs at the outset of the 2013-2014 NBA season. Iman Shumpert has proven to be an elite perimeter defender over the course of his first two NBA seasons, starting in every game last season for the Knicks, including 12 playoff starts. Shumpert’s defensive prowess may be trumped by the offensive outburst of J. R. Smith, who won last year’s Sixth Man of the Year award on the back of a career-high 18.1 points per game. Following the franchise’s first playoff series win in more than 11 years, the Knicks have high hopes for the upcoming season and the development of both Smith and Shumpert.
